It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita M Roy of Clayton, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anita M Roy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank E. Lierly and Jessie F. Leapley Lierly; her husband Maurice Z. Roy; her grandson Clayton Barlow; and her siblings, Marjorie Hendricks, Earl Lierly and Elmo Lierly.

She is survived by : her daughters, Cheryl Schlueter (Delmer) of Carthage, Nancy Liesen (Joe) of Quincy and Rebecca Barlow (Jim Kindhart) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Angie Ufkes (Brent) of Carthage, David Schlueter of Clayton and Jessie Hill (Matt) of Mt. Sterling; her great grandchildren, Ashley Darbyshire (Dillon) of Carthage, Austin Ufkes of Carthage, Addison Ufkes of Stillwater, OK., Kate, June and John Hill of Mt. Sterling; and her great great grandchildren, Holton, Owen, Hadley Darbyshire, Dayne and Decker Ufkes of Carthage. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
