Richard Davis Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Davis of Clayton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Toad" Eugene Davis and Elizabeth Lamma of Clayton; his brother-in-law Mike Bence; and his son-in-law John Yates. He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Davis of Clayton, Pat Tuter (Mike) of Quincy, Connie Hicks (Larry) of Clayton, Lynn Powell (Terry) of Quincy, Doris "Dory" Ungelsbee (Roger) of Quincy, Donna Bence of Quincy and Jim Davis (Lenora) of Quincy; his sister-in-law Sandra Davis; his daughter Diana Lee Davis of Peotone, IL; his stepchildren, Steven Lord (Diana) of Clayton and Sharon Lord of Quincy; his wife Linda Davis; his stepchildren, Everett Dean (Joyce) of Clayton, Eugene Dean of Quincy, Carrie Yates of Clayton, Vanessa Davis (Darren) of Clayton and Tonya Dean of Quincy; his stepgranddaughter Leah; his nephews, Darren, Devin, Larry and Jaime; and his pet Rose. He is also survived by two grandchildren from Diana, nineteen beloved step-grandchildren, and many precious great-grandchildren, along with many loved nieces and nephews.
