With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis M. Knapper of Clifton, Illinois, born in Akin, Illinois, who passed away on October 20, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Launius and Freda Launius; her sister Carolyn Launius; her husband James Edward Knapper; her granddaughter Carolyn Marie Otterson; her aunt Velma; and her uncle Raymond Davis.

She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Otterson (Claude) of Benton, IL, James Joel Knapper (Dawn) of Bourbonnais, IL and Philip Knapper (Tammie) of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren, Rebecca Otterson (Donald Winters, Jr.) of Enfield, IL, Molly Kennedy (Eddie) of Aroma Park, IL, Hannah Portwood (Kurt) of Jacksonville, IL and Jarrod Knapper of Springfield, IL; her great grandchildren, Lillian Otterson and Kaden Portwood; and her grandchild Baby Kennedy.
