He is survived by: his children, Charles Schmidt Jr. (Lori) of Morris and Nanette Scott (Mark) of Dwight; his grandchildren, Tom Finnegan, Colin Finnegan, Lindsey Schmidt, Amanda Schmidt, Jacob Scott, Ryan Scott, Joseph Scott and Emily Scott; and his siblings, Audrey Mielke of New Port Richie, FL, Lynn Bettendorf (Larry) of Mesa, AZ and Andrew Schmidt of Braidwood. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
