She was predeceased by: her father Sherman Anthony; her husband Bernie; and her sister Mary Ellen McDermott. She is survived by: her mother Agnes "Lorraine" Dennison (Conder); her daughter Kathy; her son-in-law Tim Gabehart of Coal City; her grandsons, Michael Gabehart (Elizabeth), Brian Gabehart (Jennifer), Kevin Gabehart (Kylie) and Kyle Gabehart; her great grandchildren, Claire Olson, Bailey Gabehart, Henry Gabehart, Maggie Gabehart, Charlie Gabehart and Ryan Gabehart; her siblings, Ray Dennison (late Patricia) of Morton, Illinois, Joyce Perkins (late Thomas) of Gardner and Lois Watters (late James) of Coal City; and her aunt Delois Mandat (Charles) of Braidwood. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reeves Funeral Home (75 N Broadway St, Coal City, IL 60416). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church - Coal City (215-245 S Kankakee St, Coal City, IL 60416). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the Braceville Gardner Cemetery (7295 E Braceville Rd, Braceville, IL 60407).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Doris' memory to Assumption Catholic Church Building Fund.
