Shirley Boero Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Boero of Coal City, Illinois, born in Morris, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Watters and Alice Watters (Black); her husband Lou; her sons, Charlie and Christopher Boero; and her siblings, Don Watters, Kenneth Watters, Alice Mae Shuler, Mildred Watters and Ruth Bryant.
She is survived by: her children, Patti Monk (Tracy) of Newport, Joe Boero (Rose) of Custer, Allie Brown (Pete) of Lena and Cindi Grove (Curtis) of Coal City; and her grandchildren, Kelly Short (Nate), Tim Brown (Michelle), Laura Hedges (Matt), Margaret Rhody (Caleb), John Boero, David Boero (Katrina), Lou Grove (Kaitlin) and James Grove. She is also survived by great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Shirley's memory to Assumption BVM Church in Coal City or to a charity of the donor's choosing.
