With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Jo Carson of Colchester, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 24, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father George J.; and her husband Larry. She is survived by: her children, Stephen L Carson (Mary) and Julie A Bland (David); her grandchildren, Tanner Carson (Ashleigh), Georgie Hea (Mitch), Grant Bland (Bri), LaHarpe, Tucker Bland (Mollie Bates), Cora Horrell (Murphy) and Grace Vyhnanek; her great grandchildren, Tatum Bland, Crue Bland, Melanie Hea and Vivienne Horrell; and her brothers, Lanny Carson (Margaret) and Mike Carson (Pam). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM at the Jones Mortuary (217 E Depot St, Colchester, IL 62326). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
