With sadness, we share the passing of Larry Lee Powell of Colfax, Illinois. Larry, born on August 30, 1942, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan Powell and Vada Powell (Popejoy); his siblings, Dorothy, Violet, Bob and Loren; and his daughter-in-law Shelly Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Powell (Cyndi) of Coralville, Lori Knell (Charles) of Colfax, Illinois and Brian Anderson (Shelly) of Colfax, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kayla, Katie Gibson, Tara Nihiser, Nick Anderson, Atticus, Oliver and Darby Powell; and his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Dalton, Lily, Ethen, Negan, Cooper and Jase.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lensing's Oak Hill (210 Holiday Rd, Coralville, IA 52241).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lantern Park.
