He was predeceased by : his parents, Bill Powell and Flossie Powell (Akes); his wife Jeanette Nicol; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Marge Nicol; his son Kenneth "Butch" Powell; his granddaughter Kathleen Cuff; his sibling, June Galloway, and Bill Powell; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Powell, Reinhardt "Smitty" Schmidt, Bill Bean, Jim Luebbers and John and Martha Nicol.

He is survived by : his children, Penney Buffard (Gene), Kathy Wiegand (Fred), K. Sue Powell, Kevin Powell and Kelly Napoli (Joe); his grandchildren, Wayne Stayton, Melissa Smith (Claude), Amanda Dontigney (Paul), Matt Powell, Donnie Cuff, Kenneth S. Powell, Jr., Shaun Wiegand (Samantha), Eugene Buffard III (Tabitha), Alex Buffard, Mary Napoli, Joey Napoli (Courtney) and Tommy Napoli (Lexi); his great grandchildren, Christian, Nate, Chloe Stayton, Morgan, Gage Dontigney, Cody, Branden, Garrett, Natalie Smith, Eugene Buffard IV, Kinley, Nolan Wiegand, Emery Napoli, Parker Napoli; sisters Joann Schmidt, Shirley Bean, and sister-in-law Joan Luebbers. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
