She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Loehr and Madge Loehr (Foster); her husband Oscar Lee Cook; her sons, Jesse Gross and Roger Cook; her brothers, Sonny Loehr, Bud Loehr, Glenn Loehr and Tiny Loehr; and her son-in-law James A. Shaw.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Shaw and Wayne Gross; her grandchildren, Dwayne Gross, James Gross, Julie Marlinghaus, Jeff Gross, Tim Shaw, Parrish Shaw, Troy Shaw and Don Cook; her sister Lucille "Shorty" McQueen; and her daughters-in-law, Norma Gross and Linda Cook. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery (5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL 62208).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Dover Hospice.
