He was predeceased by: his sister Mitzi Bax. He is survived by: his parents, Richard Ruger and Johnalee Ruger; his wife Beverly Ruger; his son Patrick Ruger of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Kendal and Kacey Ruger; and his siblings, Danny Ruger (Debbie), David Ruger and Cindy Ruger-Storey (Randy Jackson). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran School or Alzheimer's Association and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
