He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Thompson and Wealthy Mae Clancy; his siblings, Roscoe Clancy and Nina Mae Hampton; and his grandson Robert Thompson Uding.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Pepper Clancy; his children, Michael H. Clancy (Kris), Carmen Uding, Shannon Kaye Woodard (Darrell) and Kathleen E. Harold; and his stepson David Pepper. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Meadow Heights Baptist Church (1498 Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meadow Heights Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
