He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Kay Browning; his parents, Robert Lee Simpkins Sr. and Helen Simpkins (Adkins); his daughter Jill Simpkins; and his grandson Nicholas Clay Simpkins.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lee Simpkins III (Tammy) of Fairview and Benjamin Paul Simpkins Sr. (Maria) of Collinsville, IL; his sister Anne Vaughan (Mac); and his grandchildren, Robert Lee Simpkins IV, Benjamin Paul Simpkins Jr. and Leslie Eicholtz (Kyle). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon (591 Glen Crossing Rd, Glen Carbon, IL 62034). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
