He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Dodson and Ruby Dodson (Collins); his wife Evelyn Loraine Dodson (Hopwood); his son Billy Joe Dodson; and his siblings, Dale Dodson and Gala Dodson.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Dodson of Arkansas, Mark Dodson of Arkansas, Kelly Russell of Colona and Joseph "Joe" Dodson (Kristen) of Moline; and his sisters, Donna Paxton and Sharon Owen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
