He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smith and Dorothy Smith; and his grandson Nathan III. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hayton; his children, Jackie Gutknecht and Nathan Smith (Rita Newton); his grandchildren, Katherine, Alexis, Hope, Faith, Tara, Kayla, Daniel and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Dominic, Matthew and Dawson; and his brother John Smith.
