He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barber and Velma (Don Smallwood); and his stepson Bob Hintze. He is survived by: his wife Niki; his siblings, Dennis Barber (Vangy), Paul Barber (Diane), Jeff Smallwood and Linda Thomas; and his stepson Kyle Winchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rock Island Arsenal (118 Rodman Ave, Rock Island, IL 61299).
