It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael J. Walsh of Columbia, Illinois, born in Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his son Giles Michael Walsh; and his parents, James T. Walsh and Catherine Walsh. He is survived by : his wife Mariella Walsh; his daughter Alisha M. Palm (Steven); his grandchildren, Louis Michael and Blakely Palm; his siblings, Kathleen Fahey (Denis), Margaret Wilson, Dr. James Walsh (Vicki), Theresa Watters (Albert), Marilynn Roever (Don), Cindy Gravagna (Anthony) and Dale Walsh (Luann); and his godchildren, Timothy Walsh, Olivia Crafton and Lura Brown Butler. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and cousins.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: Immaculate Conception - Grade School or American Heart Association.
