She was predeceased by: her husband James Gaines; her father Charles (Catherine); her brother Edward McLemore; and her sister-in-law Janet Murphy. She is survived by: her children, Scott Gaines of O'Fallon, IL and Lisa Patton (Steve) of Columbia, IL; her siblings, Marvin McLemore (Connie) of Troy, IL, Ella Smith (Frank) of Troy, IL and Karen Rahar (Eddie) of Troy, IL; her siblings-in-law, Linda McLemore of Troy, IL and Jerry Murphy of Belleville, IL; and her grandchildren, Hannah, Brenden, Lily Gaines, Garrett and Alaina Patton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (411 Palmer Rd, Columbia, IL 62236). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gibault Catholic High School or to Helping Strays - Monroe County.
