The memory of Carrie Lou Hartman of Congerville, Illinois, who passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elias Knapp and Loida Knapp (Steiner); her spouse Alphia "Gene" Hartman; her son-in-law Loren Zimmerman; and her brothers, Willis and Glenn Knapp.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Hartman (Paula) of Congerville, Jim Hartman (Ree) of Congerville, Bob Hartman (Lisa) of Congerville, Jay Hartman (Brenda) of Congerville and Mary Zimmerman of Eureka; and her grandchildren, Shawn Lennington (Sarah), Perri Grimm (Keith), Nate Hartman (Haley), Jacey Hoekstra (Pete), Carly Bolliger (Jim), Cammi Hartman, Angie Hartman, Jake Hartman, Abby Bauman (Nate), Molly Teubel (Jaylin), Sarah Merritt (Kaleb), Adair Zimmerman (Jamie), Malinda Kafka (Bill), Betsy Ulrich (Loren), Larae Schmidgall (Nick), Caleb Leman (Shannon), Seth Leman (Renee) and Reuben Leman (Krystle). She is also survived by 40 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Congerville Apostolic Christian Church (306 N. Sharp St., Congerville, IL 61729).
