She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Burton and Evelyn Burton (Grutt). She is survived by: her husband Roger M. Smith of Cordova; her daughter Kari Verscha (Rick) of Moline; and her granddaughter Isabella Verscha of Moline.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bode Funeral Home (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Gibson-Bode Funeral Home (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275).
