He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion "Rusty" Leydens and Marjorie Leydens (Hull); his wife Jeanne A. Van Acker of John's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Sharon Atkinson and Ronald Leydens.
He is survived by: his children, Marcella O'Brien (Gene) of Hampton, Karla Kakavas (Kristian) of Moline and Stephen Matthew Leydens (Kim Thrill) of Hillsdale; his grandchildren, Colton O'Brien, Ryleigh O'Brien, Kagan Kakavas, Blake Leydens and Rylee McKinley; his brother Byran Leydens (Theresa) of Jacksonville, FL; and his friends, Gail and Gilbert Jones.
