He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Geppert of Coulterville, IL; his children, Jeana Kelley (Harlan) of Durango, CO, Peter Jr. Geppert (Kristy) of Oakdale, IL, Isaac Geppert (Jeanie) of Oakdale, IL and Rachel Geppert (Matthew Sifrit) of DeSoto, MO; his siblings, Patricia Wichert (Phillip) of Richmond, IL, Larry Geppert (Arlene) of New Athens, IL, Geraldine Thies (Clyde) of Covington, TN and Lonnie Geppert (Michelle) of Frohna, MO; and his grandchildren, Peter Geppert, III, Gavin Geppert, Ada Kelley, Harper Kelley, Scarlette Sifrit, Bodhi Sifrit and Clara Geppert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (6101 St Anthony Church Rd, Oakdale, IL 62268). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Oakdale Grade School.
