It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Mae Smith of Crainville, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Sparks and May Sparks (Colp); her husband Paul Smith; and her siblings, Virgie Mabry and Richard Sparks.

She is survived by : her children, Cinda K. Wilkins (Phillip) of Crainville and Jeremy Brandon Smith of Crainville; and her grandson Matthew Alexander Wilkins of Huntsville, Alabama..
