With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward R. Heitman (Crest Hill, Illinois), who passed away on August 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Edward. Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Heitman and Ruth Heitman; and his brother Fred Heitman (Nancy). He is survived by: his wife Carlene; his children, Elaine Hopper (Robert), Judy Giganti (Pete Foernssler), Jeff Heitman (Cindy Nix), Scott Heitman, Jennifer Scott and Lorraine Davis (Nathan); and his sisters, Linda Jennings (David) and Jeanine Malmsberry (Todd). He is also survived by grandchildren and 11 treasured great-grandchildren.
