He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Ernest Lohmar and Mary Lohmar; his sister Carol Brown; and his daughter-in-law Nicole Lohmar (Gregory).
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Nilles (David), Joseph Lohmar and Gregory Lohmar; his grandsons, Matthew Nilles (Kailyn) and Ryan Nilles; and his great grandchild Connor Nilles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Anderson Memorial (21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
