She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Hooker and Nettie Mae Hooker; her daughter Katherine "Lynnette" Hopwood; her former husband Ronald Hopwood, Sr.; and her husband Cyril "Cy" O'Malley.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron "Gene" Hopwood, Jr. (Alicia) and Anthony "Tony" Scott Hopwood (Kim); her grandchildren, Jordan Hopwood (Esmeralda) and Erika Hopwood; and her great grandchild Leon G. Hopwood.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery - Joliet (1500 N Raynor Ave, Joliet, IL 60435).
