With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James G. Kulekowskis of Crest Hill, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Zita Kulekowskis; his brothers, Ray Kay (Val), William Kulekowskis and Thomas Kulekowskis; and his parents, Louis Kulekowskis and Lillian Kulekowskis.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Kulekowskis (Cynthia) and AnnMarie Wuertz (Michael); his grandchildren, Madysen, Samantha, James, John and Frank; his siblings, Louis Kulekowskis (Vivian) and Maryanne Doherty (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Marianne Kulekowskis, Sandi Kulekowskis, Violet Pingel and Betty Liekus. He is also survived by numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
