He was loved and cherished by many people including: his caregivers, Laura, Carol and Jim. He was also cherished by his daughter, and a son and his wife; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home (1500 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
His commitment to donating blood never wavered, and he was recognized for contributing over forty gallons during his life.
