He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Martinek and Adeline Martinek; his grandson Erin Martinek; and his great grandchild Garry Powell. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Martinek; his son Karl Martinek (Deanna); his grandchildren, Shane Powell (Amanda) and Cami Powell; his great grandchild Kara Powell; and his sisters, Therese Klausler and Mary Lou Sandvik.
