She was predeceased by : her parents, Hardin McFarland and Cornelia McFarland; her siblings, John, Pierson, Hardin, Georgia, Theresa, Martha and Coren; and her son Weston Alan Hayes.

She is survived by : her husband Wiley R. Hayes Sr. of Fairhope, AL; her children, Shirley Stevens (Vincent) of Crest Hill, IL, Gloria Sellers (Willie) of Joliet, IL, Wiley R. Hayes Jr. (Venita) of Hopkinsville, KY and Connie Fitch (Andre) of Joliet, IL; her daughter-in-law Patricia Hayes (Weston) of Joliet, IL; and her nephew Jesse "Butch" Williams of Joliet, IL. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
