It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald M. Stein of Crete, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Stein and Ruth Stein; his brothers, Dan and Dick Stein; his wife Myrna Stein; his children, Steve Stein and Lori Lorig; and his son-in-law Alan Lorig.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Tina Stein; his grandchildren, Steve Stein (Haley), Emily Lepisto (Ryan), Gregory Lorig (Bethany), Christopher Lorig and Katie Jagusch (Jeff); and his extended family Crete. He is also survived by his two sisters-in-law; his brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
