He was predeceased by: his father David Newhuis; his grandchildren, Harlan David, Brooks, Jett Newhuis, Caleb and Micah John Buffum; his grandparents, Christopher and Molly Newhuis; and his father-in-law Judson Peter.
He is survived by: his mother Rosemary Newhuis; his wife Rebecca "Becky" Newhuis; his children, Justin Newhuis (Kristen), Christopher Newhuis (Molly) and Lauren Buffum (Joshua); his parent-in-law Kay; his siblings, David (Patty), Jeff (Arlene), Kathleen (Ed) and John Newhuis (Carol); and his brothers-in-law, Jeff (Vickie), Randy (Sharon) and Timothy Peter (Phyllis).
