She was predeceased by : her husband Albert Verbeek; her daughter Caryn Sue Verbeek; her brother Lowell Richard Hoekstra; her sibling-in-law T. M. DeJong; and her parents, Richard Lowell and Clara Hoekstra.

She is survived by : her daughters, Thea Stienstra (Don) and Julie Drew (Jamie); her grandchildren, Carrie Rossi (Roberto), Allen Stienstra (Amy), Jeff Stienstra (Amanda), Scott Stienstra (Becky), Kristi Groenewold (Phil) and Lauren Jackson (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Matteo, Lydia, Ethan, Isaac, Tyler, Kate, Olivia, Elijah, Ruby, Payton, Cameron, Taylor, Jordan and Eli.
