He was predeceased by: his parents, James S. Layton and Flora E. Layton (Skelton). He is survived by: his wife Martha Sue Layton (Hargrave) of Crossville; his children, Jamie (Pam Layton) of Branson, MO, Susan (George Spencer) of Crossville and Glen (Missy Wilson) of Mt. Carmel; his grandchildren, Zachary (Ashley Layton) of Yukon, OK, Justin (Monica Spencer) of Carmi, Amanda (Kurt Bridgewater) of Crossville, Jordan (Jenny Spencer) of Crosville, Jacob (Ashley Shiever) of Dallas, TX, Joshua (Jessica Shiever) of Grayville and Samuel Wilson (Isaac Wilson) of Edinboro, PA; and his great grandchildren, Brycen, Jayci, Bri Ellen, Nathan, Cayson and Conner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Robert & Cook Funeral Service (108 W Main St, Crossville, IL 62827). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roberts and Cook Funeral Service (108 W Main St, Crossville, IL 62827).
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Bob's memory be made to the White County Senior Citizens Center or the Crossville Missionary Baptist Keenager Luncheon.
