He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Allen and Vonnie Allen (Renfrow); his sisters, Iva (Daymon Royal) and Elsie (Russell Daughtery); and his son-in-law Tim Gates.
He is survived by: his children, Don Allen II, Charles Allen (Tracey) and Donna Gates; his grandchildren, Elijah Allen, Hunter Allen, Caleb Allen, Ashley Allen, Zack Gates and MaKayla Gates; and his siblings, Barbara Oller (Ivan) and Charles Allen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
