He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ray and Bobbi Jean McDowell (Strayhorn); and his wife Jeanie McDowell. He is survived by: his children, Damien Race (Glenda McDowell), Dusty (Billy Frashier) and Christian (Linda McDowell); and his grandchildren, Darrian, Keiona, Kayden, Adrenne, Ariana, Thomas and Steven. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
