He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schaper and Ruth Schaper (Appel); and his wife Carolyn. He is survived by: his sons, Jon Schaper (Rhonda) of Geneva and Steve Schaper (Caprice) of Woodstock, Illinois; his grandchildren, Max Schaper (Katy), Raquel Acuna (Hugo), Candace Benz (Spencer), Vince Schaper, Brent Schaper (Andrea) and Kirk Schaper; and his great grandchild Wyatt Benz.
