He was predeceased by: his mother Eileen Styka; his sibling Terry Styka; and his father-in-law Andrew Schumi. He is survived by: his wife Laura; his daughters, Julie and Mary Styka; his father Robert Styka; his brothers, Kevin Styka (Denise) and James Styka (Victoria); his nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Bethany, Ella, Ryan, Megan (Jordon), Cecil and Grace; his mother-in-law Marilyn; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Schumi (Kathy), Paul Schumi, Karen Couture (late Richard) and Stephen Schumi.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home (7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of All Saints Basilica (6280 N Sauganash Ave, Chicago, IL 60646).
