He is survived by: his wife Joan Hammarstedt; his children, Dr. Kirsten Kershaw (Joe Herba), Dave (Denise), Eric (Tammy) and Paul Hammarstedt; his grandchildren, Katie Akers, Amy Hammarstedt, Leah Hammarstedt, Kyla Riley Mouroukas (Eric), David Hammarstedt (Moira), William Kershaw (Maddie), Alex Kershaw, Sophie Kershaw, Lauren Thompson (Mitch) and Joe Herba Jr. (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Sydney Akers, Owen Akers, Reagan Thompson, Logan Thompson and Dalton Thompson.
