We are sad to announce that, on December 9, 2025, Gene A. Bengston of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Bengston (Olson); his parents, John Bengston and Elsie Bengston; and his siblings, Hayden Bengston (Dorothy), Betty Nash (Glenn), Darlene Holevoet (Emiel), Roberta Winter (Robert), Lois Parrott (Charles), Robert Bengston (Mildred), William Bengston (Joyce), Bernard Bengston (Barbara), JoAnn Fargher (David), Donna Bengston, Karen Bengston and Gerry Bengston.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Dubow, John Bengston (Cheryl) and Susan Diebold (Kevin); his granddaughter Kari Whirry (Cody); his children, Andy Dubow, Katelyn Schuman (Alex), Michael Bengston, Courtney Diebold and Erin Bengston; and his sister June Negley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gene's name to Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
