He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Spiewak and Julia Spiewak (Ksycki); his brother Robert Spiewak; and his brother-in-law Richard Skinkis. He is survived by: his significant other Marilyn (Leski); his children, Brant Spiewak (Lorie), Tadd Spiewak (Danielle) and Dana Mangan (Bob); his grandchildren, Spencer Spiewak, Chandler Spiewak, Connor Spiewak, Zack Spiewak, Sam Spiewak, Matthew Mangan, Jane Mangan and Ava Mangan; his sister Kathy Skinkis; and his sister-in-law Christine Spiewak.

“I met Gerry many years ago when I attended my first Fancy Food Show as a sales representative. I was immediately impressed. Gerry further endeared himself to me, when at dinner, while I was nervous and feeling a little bit out of place, the large prawn I was attempting to cut, flew off my plate during a story Gerry was telling. He expertly caught the prawn, nonchalantly placed it back on my plate and never missed a beat. I felt like he had saved me from humiliation. God speed Gerry!”
