We announce the death of Herbert J. Mayr of Crystal Lake, Illinois, who passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 81. Herbert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Mayr and Paula Mayr (Gruber); and his brothers, Fritz Mayr and Franz Mayr. He is survived by: his wife Hilda; his daughter Stephanie Swietek (Adam); his grandchildren, Oliver, Annika, Ellie and Jack; and his brother Alfred Mayr. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
