It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Homer I. Verseman of Crystal Lake, Illinois, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Verseman and Mary Verseman (Lorenz); his wife Ruth; his siblings, Hildegard Lohmann (Vernon), Dorothy Koenig (Oscar), Vera Schulte (Bill) and Milton Verseman (Lois); his brothers-in-law, Alfred Mangels (Irene), Arnold Mangels (Velma) and Walter Mangels (Elda); and his siblings, Norma Versemann (Wilbert), Wilma Meinz (Kurt), Reinhold Mangels (Elaine), Alice Bachmann (Ollie) and Ralph Mueller.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Steve Verseman (Barb), Scott Verseman and Susan Klein (Stuart); his grandchildren, Jotham Klein (Mairen) and Hanna Klein; his great grandchild Imogen Klein; his stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Tobin Withers, Brian Tobin (Rory) and Bobby Tobin (Kendall); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Luke, Max, Alexandria Withers, Barron, Riley, Blisk and Musial Tobin; and his sister Jeanie Verseman Mueller.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (300 Pathway Ct, Crystal Lake, IL 60014).
In lieu of flowers, Homer asked that any memorials be made in his honor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Pathway Court, Crystal Lake, Illinois, 60014.
