She was predeceased by: her parents, James Speers and Mabel Speers; her husband Bill; and her son-in-law Andy Soden. She is survived by: her siblings, Bob Speers (Mary) of Aurora and Judy Morton of Denver, Colorado.; her children, Liz Franz, Sue Soden, Julie McConnell (Joe) and David Franz (Kelly); and her grandchildren, Katherine, Alex Franz, Emma, Isabel Soden, Lucia, Carly and Paige McConnell.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (461 Pierson St, Crystal Lake, IL 60014).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake or to the charity of the donor's choice.
