Marion J. Mitchell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2025, at the age of 89, Marion J. Mitchell of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Walsh and Luella Walsh (Emerson); her husband Ronald Mitchell; her daughter Colleen Mitchell; her siblings, Edward Walsh (Barb) and Lorraine Walsh; and her brother-in-law Richard Schueneman.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Schuett, Melodi Hoeft (Patrick), Stacey Collins (Pete) and Rhonda Nitto (Todd); her grandchildren, Jennifer Rooney (Thom), Kristin Snell (Kelsey), Mitchell Day (Andrea), Kelsiejane Stone (Michael), Jordon Hoeft (Caitlin), Calliemae Sherwood (Andrew), Anneabel Gemmel (Derek), Shayne Spyra, Dalton and Brandon Nitto; her great grandchildren, Connor Rooney (Lexi), Curran Rooney, Baylee, Bobby, Ben Snell, Miles, Marshall, Maxwell, Mitchell Stone, Graeme, Saiorse Sherwood, Goldie, Rory Gemmel, Lilly, Kat, Karlene Bisbikis, Aria Guenther, Harmony and Savia Spyra; and her sister Carol Schueneman. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
