He was predeceased by: his parents, William Flanigan and Jane Flanigan (Fitzgerald); and his brother Rick Flanigan. He is survived by: his wife Susan Engelson; and his children, Stacey Flanigan, Kelly Flanigan (Nichole), Kerry McInerney (John) and Brian Flanigan (Sara). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A Mass was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
