It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Johnson of Dalton City, Illinois, who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kinney and Bessie Kinney (Dulaney); her husband Bob Johnson; her son Matt; and her siblings, James and Linda.

She is survived by: her children, Chad Johnson of Dalton City and Jill Gossett (Adam) of Dalton City; her siblings, Ron Kinney (Cindy) of Mason City, IL, Steve Kinney (Michele) of Decatur, Bobby Kinney (Micki), Nancy Adams of Decatur, Jean Rooks (Dan) of Decatur, Janice Gann and Debbie Ralph (Howard) of Long Creek; her grandchildren, Delaney Johnson, Zoe Johnson, Lyleigh Waller, Easton Gossett and Landree Gossett; her stepgrandchildren, Alex Corrington (Mallory), Cody Corrington and Lexi Gossett; and her great grandchildren, Kobe Corrington, Kaysen Corrington and Konnley Corrington. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
