John A. Carr Obituary
We announce the death of John A. Carr of Dalton City, Illinois, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 102. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Carr, and Jessie I. Carr, Sr. (Bromley); his wife Edna Mae Appenbrink; his sisters, Dorothy Stich and Marion Donaldson; and his great grandchild Zeke.
He is survived by: his children, John "Jac" Carr III of Macon, IL., David Carr (Ann) of Macon, IL., Jessie Ann Fyffe of Dalton City, IL. and Martha Henderson of Moweaqua, IL.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macon United Methodist Church or Meridian Ag Foundation.
