With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Mariani of Dalzell, Illinois, born in Spring Valley, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Mariani and Janet Mariani (Faletti). He is survived by : his wife Rosemary Quinn of Dalzell; his children, Randy Mariani (Patricia) of St. Louis, MO, Susan Wenzel of Oglesby and Thomas Mariani (Crystal) of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandchildren, Michael Mariani (Jennifer), Rob Held (Kelly), Madison Held and Weston Wenzel. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Church (302 Chestnut St, Dalzell, IL 61320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be directed to St. Thomas More Catholic Church or Holy Family Catholic Church in Oglesby to be used for Mass intentions for Dick.
