He was predeceased by: his parents, Folke Saaf and Alice Mae Saaf (Benson); and his brother-in-law Scott Maloney. He is survived by: his wife Adele Saaf (Sakumoto) of Bloomington; his daughters, Lisa Saaf Capozza (Dennis) of Ann Arbor and Laura Saaf (Charles Mertz) of Chicago; his stepdaughter Rachel Azima (Douglas Beal) of Lincoln, NE; his sister Virginia Maloney of Yorkville; his grandchildren, Christopher Saaf Pyke (Lucy Batsaikhan) of Ann Arbor and Cameron Matsuo Beal of Lincoln, NE; his nieces, Kimberly and Amy; and his nephew Kevin.
